Shout Dive ("the App") is a voice-controlled diving game published by Compass & Crane. This policy explains what data the App accesses and how it is used.
🎙️ Microphone
The App uses your device's microphone to measure real-time voice volume, which controls the diver's buoyancy. Audio is analyzed on-device only, in memory, and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere. No audio file is ever created. You may deny microphone access and use Touch Mode instead, which does not use the microphone.
💾 Data stored on your device
The App stores the following locally on your device only (not on any server):
- Your chosen or auto-generated nickname
- Your best score and local leaderboard entries
- Your language and sound preferences
This data is not linked to your identity, is not shared with the developer, and is not transmitted off your device.
📺 Advertising
The App shows ads served by Google AdMob to keep the game free: a rewarded video you can choose to watch to revive after a loss or double your coins, and an occasional interstitial ad after a game-over screen (never during gameplay, and never in your first 48 hours of play).
Google AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as your advertising ID) and usage data to serve and measure ads. On iOS, you will be asked for App Tracking Transparency permission before any identifier is used for personalized ads — you can decline and still see ads (just less tailored ones). 🛒 In-app purchases
The App offers an optional one-time purchase ("Remove Ads"). Payment is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — the App never sees your payment details. To validate the purchase and restore it if you reinstall, the App uses RevenueCat, which receives your store purchase receipt and a random, app-generated anonymous ID — never your name, email, or payment information. 🔌 Other third-party services
Other than Google AdMob and RevenueCat, the App does not use any third-party analytics or login SDKs. If this changes in a future update (for example, to add Game Center / Play Games leaderboards), this policy will be updated in advance and reflected in the App Store's Privacy Nutrition Label.
🧒 Children
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. No account or personal information is required to play.
